The Website of  the State Council for Professor Title is aimed at updating activities of the State Council for Professor Title in realizing its tasks:

1. Assist the Prime Minister in directing and effecting the consideration, recognition and revocation of  the title of professor/associate professor

2. Propose regimes and policies towards people recognized as professors or associate professors and those appointed to the rank of professor/associate professor .

-  Legal documents: Decisions by the Prime Minister of  the Government, the Minister of Education and Training and the State Council for Professor Title concerning the consideration and revocation of the title of professor/associate professor  as well as the establishment and function of the State Council for Professor Title, Disciplinary/Interdisciplinary Councils for Professor Title, and Institutional Councils for Professor Title, etc. The following documents are available:

·        Decision No 174/2008/QĐ-TTg on September 31, 2008 by the Prime Minister of the Government declaring criteria and procedures for appointment and dismissal of Professor and Associate Professor Title.

·        Decision No 240/QĐ-TTg on February 23, 2009 on establishing the State Council for Professor Title for term 2009-2014 and on appointing the Chair, Vice-Chair, and  General Secretary of the State Council for Professor Title.

·        Decision No 499/QĐ T-Tg on April 17, 2009 on appointing other 26 members for the State Council for Professor Title in term 2009-2014 which was established according to Decision 240/QĐ-Ttg on February 23, 20009 by the Prime Minister of the Government.

In about one or two weeks there will come a Decision by the Minister of Education and Training on promulgating Regulations for the organization and operation of the State Council for Professor Title, Disciplinary/Interdisciplinary Councils for Professor Title, and Institutional Councils for Professor Title; on promulgating Guideline Circular for consideration and revocation of the title of professor/associate professor; on appointing members of 27 Councils for Disciplinary and Interdisciplinary Professor Title.
